I'm considering switching my blog over to Wordpress, but I'm not sure if that will be a good idea. Blogger has been okay, but I would like something a bit different with more plugins and perhaps a bit more space? I'm not the most tech savvy blogger and my hubby helps me out a lot when I need it. Lori from Pure Imagination created the template that you see (and I absolutely adore it!). I would definitely migrate everything over and keep this the same.
What are bloggers' thoughts on switching? Should I stay with Blogger or switch to Wordpress. Any information will help me make an informed decision.

I've been kicking around the same idea but the thought terrifies me. I need to get more educated about the difference and seperate fact from myth. So I will be coming back to see the opinions other bloggers have. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI switched over two years ago to a self hosted Wordpress. I had a theme created by a professional designer. I don't know if the html coding for Blogger themes is compatible with Wordpress. I'm pretty sure something is different, so if you'd want to keep the same theme you'll want to check into to that.
ReplyDeleteYou can transfer over all your posts but you'll lose ALL of your comments. That's the only thing I was sad about. Also, I had to use a new Google Friend Connect because I kept my original blogger up and running but you don't have to do that.
