Author Trivia!

Q:  Where did you come up with the name "Damien"?  Did you name him after that kid in the Omen?

A:  He's actually named after Damien Vryce from C. S. Friedman's The Coldfire Trilogy.  I wanted a good name that started with D, and I was reading the first book in the trilogy at the time and totally in love with all the characters.  So, ironically--and fittingly--enough, he's actual named after a paladin, not a demon child.

Q:  How long did it take redacted to get published?

A:  It took about a year and a half to find a publisher and another year and a half for it to come out, so total it was three years from the time I wrote it to the time it hit the shelves.
